Short Synopsis
'Scotch Hill' tells the story of a man who inherits a home he vowed never to go back to and is forced to reconcile his unresolved past with an uncertain future.

Long Synopsis
Peter goes home for the first time in many years after inheriting the unwanted house from his estranged uncle Ray. Once there, Peter finds Ray’s caretaker, the eccentric young Lilly, living in the old house. Ray’s death leaves Lilly alone and with no place to go. With Lilly’s subtle help, Peter is forced to face some of the harder truths about both his past and present situations. 'Scotch Hill' is a quiet character study of individuals at personal crossroads. The film is a simple, but potent slice of life addressing in subtle, poignant ways the complexities inherit in family relationships, aging and a person’s sense of home.

Filmmaker Biographies
Michael Kuell is co-owner of JetPak Productions where he has been producing & directing music videos, short films, educational programs & commercials for 10 years. He recently finished the independently produced short film "Scotch Hill".

In 2004, JetPak teamed up with Boston's Improv Asylum to produce a TV pilot "Peanut Hunt!" and again in 2007 with "Turning it Around" with Michael serving as director and producer.

In 2008, JetPak's independently produced TV Pilot "Today's Special" was accepted into the New York TV Fest, again with Kuell Directing and Producing. Currently, Michael is prepping to direct a low budget feature film in NYC.
